North Sumatra, TOPNews Indonesia —
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy together with the local government and community have successfully revitalized Adian Nalambok, one of the 34 travel pattern towards the super priority destination (DSP) of Lake Toba.
The tourist area which was previously not well managed is now very attractive.
Not only offering the natural beauty of Lake Toba from a height, Adian Nalambok is now equipped with a number of facilities to restaurants.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, hopes that this tourist spot, which is located right on the ridge between Parapat and Balige, will become a tourist destination that supports Lake Toba.
“December 31, 2020 I am here brought by Pak Ipang Wahid. We want a quick move and today it will be realized, I thank all who participated, allowing us to work together and oversee this process,” said Sandiaga Uno at Adian Nalambok, Thursday ( 10/6).
“Hopefully there will be one of 34 spots according to Mr. Ipang that has been mapped as spots that will become part of the travel pattern, from point to point in visits to tourist destinations of Lake Toba,” he added.
The success of Adian Nalambok’s revitalization, he continued, is evidence of collaboration between the government, the business world and the community in the development of the tourism sector.
Sandiaga Uno also hopes that this collaboration with the Public Private Partnership concept can continue to be established in revitalizing the 33 destinations supporting the Lake Toba DSP.
“Later, Pak Ipang and I will map it out and offer it to the nomads in Jakarta and outside the Batak Land to participate in their homeland or ancestral land. Because building Lake Toba must embrace all parties,” he explained.
The Regent of Toba, Poltak Samosir then expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the people who have participated in building tourist destinations in Toba Regency.
Especially to the immigrants who are willing to go home and build their hometown at this time.
“We are very grateful to the immigrants who have helped build this, this is what we should emulate,” said Poltak. “At the same time, on this occasion we invite 33 destinations, we are waiting for the arrival of the nomads, let’s build our village. Horas,” he said.
Find a Special Spot
Previously reported, this revitalization started from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno to Lake Toba, North Sumatra at the end of December last year.
At that time, Sandi found a very beautiful view of Lake Toba, namely Adian Nalambok.
At that location, Sandi saw the vast expanse of hills surrounding Lake Toba from a height.
Right from above Adian Nalambok, you can see a village called Meat which is located in the valley on the south side of Lake Toba, to be precise, Tampahan District, Toba Samosir, North Sumatra.
But unfortunately, the strategic location which was originally referred to as ‘death valley viewing spot‘ it’s not well managed yet, offering only small warungs with simple seating.
“This shows that Toba has a lot of tourist destinations that can be developed,” said Sandi at the time.
“We can also see from the creative economy such as making Instagramable stalls, this is tourism that can open jobs during a pandemic like this and opportunities for the community,” he added.
