Anal sex is a sexual act that inserts a penis, finger, or other object (such as a vibrator) into the anus. The goal is to get sexual satisfaction, even though there is a danger of anal sex.
Many people think that anal sex for the purpose of getting sexual satisfaction is safe sex behavior because it does not cause pregnancy. But without realizing it there are various dangers of anal sex that lurk.
Boy Abidin, an obstetrician at Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading Hospital, said that anatomically, the vagina and anus are very different.
“The shape of the cells is very different in the anal and vaginal areas. (This) has to do with their function,” he told TOPNewsIndonesia.com.
“Indeed, the vagina for penetration, for sexual activity, has been designed. The function is for ovulation, sex activity, and expulsion of the baby.”
Unlike vaginal sex, there are some dangers of anal sex that Boy revealed.
1. Sphincter damage
The dangers of anal sex include a damaged sphincter.
“The sphincter will be damaged, if it breaks it is difficult to repair,” said Boy.
“In the anus the sphincter is made strong, but it can burst.”
2. Disturbing defecation
“In the anus, the purpose is disposal, from the inside out. There is a sphincter to hold. That sphincter is to hold feces. Its function is clearly different. Vaginal penetration goes in, it comes out.”
3. Nerve damage
Boy revealed that when doing anal sex, many are pursuing sex variety and pleasure.
“The anus area talks nervously, the nerve area is sensitive, the most sensitive, it’s delicious there. But from that side that’s all,” he said.
It’s just that, without realizing this can cause damage to nerves, blood vessels, and cells in the area around the anus.
4. Risk of infection due to wound
The anus is a channel for the discharge of feces or feces.
“This can’t be clean, there are lots of germs, smells, there is a fermentation process, the growth of germs, it’s very scary.
“The germs in the anal area, the disposal of those germs are very pathogenic, a potential problem.”
He added, in the anus there is no protection system. If there is a wound, the germs will enter the blood circulation. This will lead to various infections including HIV.
5. The risk of colon cancer.
“The risk of colon cancer, irritation in the area there is a change in cell shape and the risk of malignant processes,” he said.
Hemorrhoids are also one of the dangers of anal sex.
“Hemorrhoids can, but not immediately, this is a push from below.”
